A variety of western and traditional Tibetan designs are available in stock or can be readily ordered. Alternatively, I can work with you to craft an original design of your own. Four densities of knot counts are available – 40 (a new product), 60, 80 and 100 knots per square inch. The higher knot counts are recommended for the more intricate motifs.
All of my carpets are made of 100% Tibetan wool. Tibetan sheep, which are grazed in high Himalayan pastures, produce an uncommonly lustrous and durable wool that is described by experts as ideal for rugs. These lanolin-rich fibers are hand carded and hand spun into yarn, and then are professionally dyed with environmentally friendly Swiss clarient dyes or natural vegetal dyes, in a broad spectrum of colorfast shades. Some rugs feature silk highlights woven into the designs.
